Promoting Education

Voice Of The African Child is a charity organization dedicated to providing education for children in Africa. We envision a world where every child has the opportunity to learn and thrive, regardless of their circumstances. As a result, we finance the education of children from poor backgrounds. We provide resources that give them access to good education including books, uniforms, school fees, solar lanterns and prizes.
Education is the first step to unlocking potential in a child and transforming their future.
We firmly believe that by educating vulnerable children, we can empower them, their families as well as their communities, giving them a better tomorrow.
Shelter, Food & Clothing

At Voice of The African Child, we are deeply moved by the extremely impoverished conditions some African families live in, the hardship in accessing clean water and nutritious meals, to name a few of the challenges. From this realisation, our organisation provides food aid to vulnerable children and families, striving to end hunger and giving them healthier lives and living conditions. Our food aid seeks to attend to the immediate and long term needs of everyone in need including:
- Children in school – to encourage and improve their participation, which improves their education
- Patients in hospitals – to complement their nutritional needs and aid their speedy recovery
- People in Crisis – in order to cope with daily survival needs and to remain hopeful for a better future, victims of disasters, abuse and other crises will need good meals. We play a role in this.
Beyond providing emergency food relief, we educate and encourage individuals in the communities where we operate to grow food for their families via mentorship and empowerment programmes. We believe that training and empowerment may be a catalyst for a full turnaround, helping individuals to escape poverty and become self-sufficient in the long run.

Voice Of The African Child is aware and concerned about young lives being wasted from:
- mental health crises
- drug and alcohol misuse
- child marriages
- homelessness
- family breakdowns
- violence and exploitation
We realise and acknowledge that the above and more issues are affecting African youths with much potential. Our work is geared on identifying and supporting children and young people in Africa to overcome their challenges, while providing guidance and counselling for a better future.
Disaster Relief

In the wake of devastating earthquakes and cyclones, food crises and drought, poverty and disease, we help people in need. We are constantly in touch with people on the ground in Africa, doing our best to equip medical personnel and response teams with the tools they need to overcome challenges they face in saving lives.
We aim to have a massive impact on thousands of communities across the continent, providing food and water, shelter, and medical care whenever they are needed most.
Since we are a non-profit organization, we are solely supported by our donors and a small staff working for minimal compensation. This enables us to provide emergency aid at no cost to the recipient countries.
